Cassy Cooper, MD

CooperDr. Cooper is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician specializing in pain and spine medicine. Special interests include spinal injections, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasounds, EMGs, ultrasound-guided peripheral joint & soft tissue injections. Dr. Cooper began her interest and education in medicine when she was living in Bozeman. She subsequently became one of the first cohorts to complete the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program at Montana State University. Dr. Cooper received her medical degree and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Cooper was drawn to PM&R due to its focus on getting patients to their fullest possible level of functioning. Following her residency training, she sought out additional training by completing a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Spine West in Boulder, CO. There, she treated everyone from elite professional athletes to individuals who simply want to get back to an active lifestyle. Dr. Cooper grew up in the Inland Northwest and her husband was born and raised in Montana. They are pleased to back in Montana with their daughter, dogs, cat and goats.

Patrick Danaher, D.O.

DanaherDr. Danaher is a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he went on to a distinguished career in the United States Navy. Dr. Danaher did his formal Anesthesiology training at Naval Hospital San Diego and served his nation all over the globe.

Captain Danaher retired from the Navy after twenty years of honorable service.

During his tenure, he served as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. In addition, he was the Director of the Pain Management Clinic and directed several continuing medical education conferences for chronic pain management. Captain Danaher also served as Officer in Charge of a Forward Resuscitative Combat Surgical Team during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Steve Kemple, D.O.

KempleDr. Kemple is a graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine is trained in two specialties. After medical school, he went on to complete a residency in Family Medicine at the Mesa General Hospital in Arizona. After his family medicine residency, he decided on a career change and completed an Anesthesiology residency at the University of Arizona. Immediately after residency, Dr. Kemple moved to Missoula to start his Anesthesia career.

Dr. Kemple has provided pain management care since his arrival in Missoula seventeen years ago. His recognition of the need for a formalized pain management program inspired him to form the first private practice inter-disciplinary pain program in Missoula in 2005, now known as Advanced Pain and Spine Institute.

Bryan Davis, MD

Bryan Davis, MD

Dr. Davis grew up in Missoula before attending Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude while double majoring in mathematics and physics. Following this he taught middle school math for two years in Oakland, California as part of the Teach For America program. He then received a scholarship from the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education that allowed him to attend University of California at San Diego School of Medicine, where he earned both an M.D. and a Master’s degree in Clinical Research.

Kelsey Elkins, APRN-FNP

Kelsey Elkins, APRN-FNPKelsey Elkins is a nurse practitioner specializing in cancer pain and chronic pelvic pain in women. Kelsey graduated from the College of Nursing at Montana State University and began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse at Bozeman Health. She continued her education in nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis where she earned her Masters of Nursing Science with a specialty in family practice. Upon completion of her graduate degree she worked in the urgent care clinics in Bozeman and Big Sky, Montana. In 2019, Kelsey moved from Bozeman to Missoula with her family and joined our practice.

 

 

 

Morgan Roberts, PA-C

Morgan Roberts, PA-CMorgan Roberts is a graduate of Chatham University within Pittsburgh, where she received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in July of 2017. Before graduate school, Morgan spent some time volunteering at the Johnstown Free Medical Clinic in her hometown in Pennsylvania.

Since then, she has volunteered at a medical screening for the homeless, and has been trained in Screening for Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Foundations Training (SBIRT) for Physician Assistants.

She has now moved to Montana in December of 2017 after falling in love with the state during one of her clinical rotations.


 

Nicole Swartz, FNP-BC

Nicole Swartz,  FNP-BCNicole is a native Montanan, born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. Her passion for nursing started as she completed her undergraduate nursing program at Carroll College in Helena, Montana graduating with the honor of Maxima cum Laude. She worked as a Register Nurse (RN) in Pediatric Home Health and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit yet was drawn to the multifaceted role of the Nurse Practitioner. Nicole achieved a Master's degree in Nursing through Montana State University (MSU), Bozeman while remaining on the Dean's List throughout her time at MSU.
